Henry J. Miller (Hank) and Carole A. Miller established Boom Towne
Canine Center in May of 2004.
Their goal is to take the many years of experience Carole and Hank
have raising, training and
showing dogs, and apply it to services for the dog owner and exhibitor.
Hank and Carole first became involved with dogs and received their
first AKC obedience title in
the early 1970’s with their family pet Heidi, a German Shepard
Dog. In 1995, after taking some
time off to raise their children, they once again became involved
with training and exhibiting dogs
when Carole purchased their first Papillon, Sassy. They trained
Sassy, and she became their first
AKC Utility Dog (UD, an advanced AKC obedience title). While training
Sassy, they also purchased
their first “show” Papillon, Boomer. Boomer became their
first AKC Champion (Thus the names
Sass-a-Lodge & Boom Towne). Boomer has also received AKC Companion
Dog Excellent and Novice
Agility titles as well as a Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) championship
and CKC obedience titles.
Papillons have become Hank and Carole’s main breed.
Hank and Carole also have experience with Bernese Mountain Dogs,
a very large breed.
Their first “Berner”, Berkley, receive obedience titles
from the AKC and CKC as well as a CKC
championship.
Since Hank and Carole began in earnest in the mid 1990’s
they have earned 12 championship
titles as well as obedience and agility titles in both the US and
Canada. Timmy (Ch Tracelynn’s
One More Time) has been seen on the Animal Planet television show
several times during the
AKC Dog Shows sponsored by Eukanuba. They have also exhibited at
the Westminster dog show
in New York City.
Hank trains, grooms, and exhibits the dogs and Carole provides
the nurturing.
