NOTE: Dogs should have already been through basic obedience training, able to walk on a loose leash and know the following commands: sit, down, come and stay.

Please bring: a hungry dog, six foot leash, soft treats and his/her favorite toy.

      Instructor: Lizz Cooper

      Cost: $100/8 weeks

    • Puppy Preschool

This 4-week class focuses on providing opportunities for puppies to develop social skills with both dogs and people.  It will help new puppy owners with typical puppy behaviors, such as, biting, chewing, jumping, and coming when called.  This class will include handling by a variety of people to help prevent shyness and build confidence, interactions to gently establish your leadership role, and some puppy agility to build confidence and coordination.  Puppies must be between 12 weeks and 6 months of age on the first day of class.  All puppies must have had their second shot in the DHPP series and Kennel Cough (Bordatella) before the first class.  The kennel cough vaccination must be given at least 2 weeks before the first class.

      What to bring:

      -A happy, eager puppy

      -Proof of your puppy's vaccinations

      -Lots of soft treats

      -A favorite toy

      Cost:  $50/4-week session

    • Reliable Recalls

The emphasis of this class will be on gaining/improving off leash control of your dog while they are around other distractions.  We will be focusing on reliable recalls with/without distractions and longer stays with more distractions.  This class is a great pre-requisite for beginner agility.

*Please note:  All dogs signing up for Reliable Recalls must have completed Boom Towne's Simply Basic  and/or get permission from the instructor.  Any questions please contact us at cindy@boomtowne.com or 585-398-3647.

    • Beginner/Advanced Rally

Advanced/Beginner Rally will teach participants to recognize signs used in Rally Obedience and how to execute them correctly.  Once these steps are accomplished, Rally courses will be set up (Novice or Open dependednt on the level the student is performing) and runs will be made under supervision.

In addition to being recognized as an individual event in AKC Trials, this venue can be beneficial as an introduction to competing in regular obedience since the handler can use voice commands and hand signals in the performance of these Rally courses.

NOTE: Dogs should have basic obedience training, walk at heel on the leash and know the following commands: sit, down, stand, come and stay.

Please bring a hungry dog, six foot leash, soft treats and his/her favorite toy.
